Submit Your Abstract

Welcome to the abstract submission portal for the University of Cape Town Department of Paediatrics and Child Health (DPCH) Annual Research Days 2026.

We invite submissions spanning the full breadth of child and adolescent health research, including basic, clinical and translational science; public health and epidemiology; health systems and implementation research; and policy and advocacy. Eligible submissions include original research, case reports and case series, conducted in accordance with applicable ethical, institutional and governance requirements.

Before submitting, please review the Research Days 2026 Abstract Submission Guidelines, which set out the required abstract structure, formatting, eligibility and ethical requirements. However, the portal is designed to guide you through each stage of submission, and a built-in help bot is available to assist with queries.

By submitting an abstract, you confirm that it complies with the relevant reporting standards and applicable ethical requirements.

We look forward to showcasing rigorous research that advances the health, equity and wellbeing of children, adolescents and the communities in which they live.
